A renaissance for diesel in the G-Class in the limited edition Past II Future
For its 45th birthday, Mercedes presents a new G-Class, designed in collaboration with Moncler and limited to only 20 examples magazin piese auto.
Mercedes designed a new G-Class in collaboration with luxury fashion brand Moncler and Japanese designer NIGO – for the second time!
In 2023, the G-Class was designed in collaboration between Mercedes and Moncler, heavily influenced by the product Moncler is best known for – down jackets. The "Mondo G Project" revealed what such a machine could look like - just for show, of course. But the new project based on the G-Class is about something quite different Bieleta antiruliu Swag.
In reality, two new models were "born" in this year's collaboration: a work of art and a real G-Class, which will be produced in only 20 units, which will be delivered to customers in April 2025. Naturally, such a special car needs and by special name: Mercedes-Benz G‑Class Past II Future. And the price? They don't release it! But it probably doesn't really excite most buyers, since the 20 units have already been sold.
Design: a work of art versus a stock car
The differences between the unique work of art and the 20 cars of the small series are not noticeable at first glance - unlike the case with the previous project. Except for the fact that the NIGO model is a convertible, and the real G-Class will be all hardtop. It is here that we find the next big difference. The gueruk is made in the style of typical Moncler down jackets, which, of course, is not done in the same way in the production car. Also, the G-Class that won't run is based on the 1990s models, while the "real" one is from the current generation.
The interior is classic
However, the color range is the same: the paint is gray and green, the rims are black, and the interior is classic – with a black and gray check. The spare tire cover also features the same detail on both cars: the Mercedes star with Moncler lettering.
Customers can choose between diesel and petrol
The current G 450 d and G 500 provide the basis for the limited small series. Those who choose a diesel will rely on a system output of 387 hp. and a maximum torque of 750 Nm. The petrol engine, on the other hand, generates 469 hp. and a maximum torque of 560 Nm.
