Stellantis is putting solid-state batteries in an electric Dodge Charger Daytona
Stellantis and technology company Factorial continue their partnership to accelerate electrification by implementing solid-state batteries in the next generation of electric vehicles. The move is part of Stellantis' $75 million investment in Factorial, starting in 2021. A demonstration fleet of all-new Dodge Charger Daytonas equipped with Factorial's solid-state batteries will be on the road testing through 2026 piese auto online.

This will help validate the new FEST® (Factorial Electrolyte System Technology) battery technology and evaluate its performance in real road conditions. FEST® provides a specific energy density in excess of 390 Wh/kg and offers significant advantages over traditional lithium-ion batteries such as higher energy density, reduced weight, improved performance and the potential for more affordable electric vehicles. Following its strategic plan Dare Forward 2023, Stellantis chooses to implement FEST® in its STLA Large multi-energy platform, focusing on electric SUV models and cars from the Jeep®, Dodge, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo and Maserati brands.
The STLA Large platform is designed to support up to two million vehicles worldwide, making it suitable for the innovative battery technology. "This demonstration fleet is an important milestone in our partnership with Factorial," said Ned Curick, chief engineer and chief technology officer of Stellantis. - "By integrating Factorial's innovative battery technology into the STLA Large platform, we will enhance our EV range and provide our customers with better performance, longer range and faster charging in the coming years."
