Stellantis reports growth in electric vehicles, remains leader in light trucks

Stellantis Pro One sees market growth in the light commercial vehicle sector
The Stellantis Pro One light commercial vehicle division is the undisputed leader in Europe, reaching a market share of 29.5% (compared to 29.1% at the end of 2024). The Stellantis light commercial vehicle range is #1 in 9 of the 10 main markets: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belux (Belgium-Luxembourg), the Netherlands, Poland and Portugal, with Peugeot brand models among the most sought-after in the Old Continent.
Growth in the BEV market for cars and light commercial vehicles
After a decline in 2024, the electric vehicle market is starting to recover and in January 2025 Stellantis managed to increase its share to 12.9% compared to 12.1% for the whole of the previous year. The company is the leader in France, Italy, Portugal and Spain, ranking second among manufacturers in the EU29. The FIAT 500e is not only the best-selling model in the BEV segment in Italy, but also the leading electric vehicle in Germany.
Stellantis Pro One maintains its leadership in Europe in light-duty BEVs with a 31% market share – every third car sold in this segment is Stellantis branded.

In January, Stellantis consolidated its second place in the total market (PC+CV) in Europe with a 17.1% share, maintaining its position as of the end of 2024. The company remains the leader in France, Italy and Portugal and is second in Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
The new Citroën C3, with over 90,000 orders in January, and the Peugeot 3008 – with 100,000 orders – are among the most popular models in their segments. In France, the Peugeot 208 is the best-selling car (PC+CV), while the Citroën C3 is the leader in the passenger car market on the PC market. In Italy, the FIAT Panda continues its success, taking first place with a 10% share, while the Jeep® Avenger is confirmed as the best-selling B-SUV.
“Our January results reinforce our position in the highly competitive European automotive market,” commented Jean-Philippe Imparato, Stellantis’ Chief Operating Officer for Wider Europe. “At the same time, we are seeing significant growth in our market share in light commercial vehicles, where Stellantis has been a long-standing leader, as well as positive developments in the electric vehicle segment, which is at the heart of the future technological and commercial transformations of the market.”
