The new Fiat Grande Panda: Italian charm in pixels
There will also be a pickup and a campe magazin piese auto Fiat online.
The Fiat Grande Panda is set to usher in an entirely new model family – on the occasion of the brand's 125th birthday! A new version of Panda is expected to appear every year until 2027. – so not only an SUV, but also a pickup and a camper await us! Modifications should be equipped with all types of drive and be available worldwide.
The first step has already been taken – with the Fiat Grande Panda. The small SUV will be offered as a hybrid and as an electric car. However, the Italians have not yet revealed when the Grande Panda will be at dealers. In any case, we will not see it in Bulgaria before 2025.
Grande Panda remains available
Fiat has not yet published the price list for the Grande Panda, but they promise that the basic modification will cost less than 50,000. leva - this is how the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric will be able to compete. There is still no information about the hybrid modification. But we expect that it can be bought for about 40 thousand. leva.
Lord of the city
Five seats and a length of 3.99 meters make the new Panda the ideal family car for the city. Although the Panda has been completely changed, the appearance remains deeply connected to the vision of its predecessors - despite the large number of futuristic elements such as the "pixelated" light bar at the front or the 17-inch aerodynamic wheels.
At the same time, the Grande Panda has not lost its "rustic" appearance, laid down in the layout of the fenders, elements imitating protection for the body on the bumpers, as well as the roof rails. In a way, this is all done in homage to the Panda 4×4 of the 80s.
However, one thing has been redesigned, and seriously: the Panda lettering. The new look can now be recognized from the side – as well as from the back.
Dimensions:
Length: 3.99 m
Width: 1.76 m
Height: 1.57 m
Trunk: 361 l
Mileage over 320 km
The Italians have already revealed the first details about the drive – at least for the electric version. The Grande Panda Electric generates 113 hp. (83 kW), and its battery has a capacity of almost 44 kWh. According to Fiat, the range will be over 320 kilometers on the WLTP cycle. When charging with alternating current (AC), the integrated built-in charger allows you to "top up" it with a maximum of 7 kW.
Fiat has not yet provided us with further technical data; there is currently no information on the hybrid variant. The underpinning Citroën C3 is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 48-volt system – which we expect to see in the Grande Panda as well. We expect power to be 101 hp.
Iconic details in the interior
Fiat has finally released pictures of the interior. In designing the upright dashboard, designers were inspired by the shape of the first Panda from the 1980s. The 10-inch digital cockpit and the 10.25-inch central screen are located at the same height.
There's also a futuristic-looking steering wheel, beveled at the top and bottom – as well as plenty of colorful detailing. Important functions are still controlled by buttons.
Conclusion
You have to look closely to find the details. But then you will recognize the attractive "quotes" from the older Panda models. With hybrid and electric drives, the mini SUV fits into the spirit of the new age. And the best part is that Fiat aims to keep the model affordable.
