The 5-door Jimny attacks another market
After its debut in India in 2023, the Suzuki Jimny Nomade – as the rear-door version is called – will also be launched in Japan from spring 2025 injector bosch pret.
The Suzuki Jimny was discontinued in Europe last year due to stricter emissions regulations, but it continues to be sold in many other countries, now even in a five-door version. After debuting in India (where it is manufactured) in 2023, the small SUV with two more doors is coming to Japan, where it will go on sale from April this year.
The five-door model – 11 cm longer
The Jimny Nomade retains the cube-shaped form that made it so popular. The main difference compared to the version sold in Europe is the number of doors. In Japan, the small SUV was only available in a three-door version.
The Jimny Nomade has been extended to 3.98 metres in length (the standard version is 3.65 metres), making room for the rear doors. In addition, the Jimny XL frame has been redesigned to provide the strength required by the increased weight.
Will the Jimny Nomade also appear in Europe?
The Suzuki Jimny Nomade is also available with selectable all-wheel drive. It is combined with the well-known 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with 105 hp, and the transmission is manual or automatic.
Is there any chance that this Jimny will appear in Europe? Theoretically, Suzuki has a 1.2-liter mild hybrid with 83 hp, which in the Swift can be combined with four-wheel drive. Of course, this power is a bit low for an off-roader, but it is still an option for the XL Jimny.
