Will Audi bring back the sporty TT Coupé?
Audi currently doesn't have a two-door sports car in its lineup. According to Audi CEO Gernot Dölner, sports cars are part of the brand's DNA. That leaves room for speculation - including the return of the TT curea de distributie ina pret.

Following the end of the two iconic models Audi R8 and TT (RS), for the first time since 1980, the Ingolstadt manufacturer does not have a two-door sports car in its range. Audi CEO Gernot Dölner emphasized at the annual business conference for 2024 that sports cars are part of the brand's DNA. This also includes the TT, which rolled off the assembly line between 1998 and 2023, and was sold more than 650,000 times.
The rounded Coupe is very important for the car manufacturer, says Dölner. And of course: Chief Designer Massimo Frascella is also a big fan of the TT – so a revival would be entirely possible. However, there will be no retro version or copy of the old model. It is more likely that the designers will be inspired by a new model.
Various concepts are being discussed, with the most likely being an electric 2+2 coupe that would retain the TT's distinctive silhouette while relying on an electric drivetrain. This potential successor would likely be positioned in the premium segment, above the previous model, and would draw on Volkswagen's entire electric vehicle know-how. According to Dölner, the new model should be suitable for everyday use.
The return will probably be delayed.
According to Dölner, the current situation is not the right one, given the difficult economic situation in which the group – like many other car manufacturers – finds itself. First and foremost, the group must achieve sustainability and the main focus must be on the core business and the production of new generations. Audi recently announced that 7,500 jobs will be cut in the group.
However, Dölner has a clear vision for the future of the concern - sports models are definitely part of it. Recently, there has been speculation about the return of the R8.
