How does DS Automobiles integrate Formula E technologies into its production models?
Motorsport has always been a key accelerator of R&D for passenger cars. DS Automobiles was the first premium automotive brand to enter the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in 2015, and continues its sporting adventure in this innovative, all-electric series to this day, while developing in parallel an electrified range of passenger cars that benefit from technology transfer, both at the physical component and software level magazin de piese auto online.

N°8, the new flagship model of DS Automobiles, offers a record combined range of 750 kilometers (WLTP cycle), directly capitalizing on the technological know-how accumulated on race tracks around the world.
Regenerative braking, a key feature of Formula E, is just one of the valuable lessons learned from the all-electric series. This system is activated as soon as the driver releases the accelerator pedal, with three levels of power that can be controlled via paddles on the steering wheel.
In addition to the different levels of recuperation, the One-Pedal function on N°8 is also added, which allows smooth driving without the need to press the brake pedal.
The intelligent management of the four-wheel drive system is another feature inspired by Formula E. Just like the DS E-TENSE FE 25 during every race start, the N°8 AWD LONG RANGE uses all four wheels from standstill (as well as during kick-down in eco/normal/sport modes) for optimal traction during acceleration.
Technology transfer is one of the main reasons DS Automobiles is involved in Formula E. Everything the brand has learned about materials and strategies over the last 10 years of electric competition is being applied by the teams developing the passenger cars.
Every race, every podium and every victory becomes a technological advance and an unparalleled experience for DS Automobiles customers.
