Just a few weeks after the electric variant went on sale, two more are now appearing. They also demonstrate some talents of the first model based on the common platform with Audi PPE.

This is especially true for the new base model, which has only one electric motor – on the rear axle. Therefore, it is the first and only one of the family with rear-wheel drive, but it also has some advantages: firstly, the price is lower by BGN 8,000 (BGN 160,000), and secondly, its mileage increases by 10 percent.

Since it weighs 110 kg less than the dual-drive version and needs less energy, its model is also sufficient with a battery with a capacity of 100 kWh. Its mileage is up to 641 kilometers.

Although intended for use by families in everyday life, the Macan is far from weak: 340 hp. (in overboost 360 hp) and 563 Nm are enough for a sprint to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and a maximum speed of 220 km/h.

In terms of traction, you could easily forgo the second electric motor – and of course the dual-drive, dual-electric Macan uses only one electric machine most of the time for efficiency reasons. Only on snow and ice can this be a problem. But hardly with suitable tires.

Macan 4S with two electric motors

The base model is not the only new addition: the Macan 4S, priced at BGN 180,000, also launched with it. With two electric motors and 448, respectively 516 hp. it not only fills the niche between the Macan 4 (BGN 168,000, 408 hp) and the Macan Turbo (BGN 230,000, 639 hp), but also brings an impressive refinement that makes the Macan fit for others disciplines.

The model is equipped with the Offroad Design package, which, thanks to its rustic elements and air suspension, increases the ground clearance to 195 mm and, in a special off-road mode, even 225 mm.

Porsche will also launch Turbo S and GTS versions of the Macan.
