The new BMW M3 CS Touring: with the family and 550 hp on the track

With the first BMW M3 CS Touring, BMW M GmbH is expanding its range of high-performance sports cars with another special model. The latest addition to the most popular BMW M model series builds on the success of the BMW M3 Competition Touring with M xDrive and combines its unique character with even more impressive sporting dynamics. The in-line six-cylinder engine with 405 kW/550 hp, specific suspension settings, exclusive design features and weight-optimised components made of carbon fibre composite (CFRP) create the conditions for an authentic racing feel. Its flexible on-site offering ensures that the extremely dynamic driving characteristics of the first BMW M3 CS Touring can be experienced both on the race track and in a variety of everyday situations, during leisure activities and while travelling suport motor corteco pret.

The BMW M3 CS Touring will be produced in limited series and delivered to customers in Europe, as well as Australia, Japan and South Korea from March 2025. The model's largest market will be Germany.

The three-litre straight-six engine fitted to the BMW M3 CS Touring was designed from the ground up for maximum dynamics on the racetrack and features a number of technological innovations inspired by motorsport. These include a particularly robust engine block with closed-deck construction without liners, a forged lightweight crankshaft and a cylinder head core manufactured using 3D printing. In addition, the weight-optimised cylinder surfaces feature an iron coating applied using laser arc deposition (LDS) technology, which reduces friction losses. The cooling system and oil supply have also been adapted to withstand the high loads of dynamic driving on the racetrack.

The drive system combines the typical M high-revving characteristics and linear power delivery under high load with advanced M TwinTurbo technology. The increase in the maximum pressure of the two Mono-Scroll turbochargers to 2.1 bar, together with the specific tuning of the engine electronics, allows for an additional 15 kW/20 hp compared to the BMW M3 Competition Touring with M xDrive, bringing the total output to 405 kW/550 hp. The maximum torque of 650 Nm is available in the range from 2,750 to 5,950 rpm. Maximum power is achieved at 6,250 rpm and the maximum engine speed is 7,200 rpm.

In addition, specially developed engine mounts with increased rigidity ensure a particularly tight connection between the drive unit and the vehicle structure. This results in optimised throttle response and an extremely direct transmission of power to the drive system. The immediate power transfer enables the BMW M3 CS Touring to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. Acceleration to 200 km/h from a standstill is achieved in 11.7 seconds. According to the “1-Foot-Rollout” method, acceleration to 100 km/h is 3.2 seconds and to 200 km/h in 11.4 seconds. Intermediate acceleration from 80 to 120 km/h takes 2.7 seconds in 4th gear and 3.5 seconds in 5th gear. The top speed of the special model, which is equipped with the M Driver's Package as standard, is electronically limited to 300 km/h.

The high engine output and the specifically tuned suspension of the BMW M3 CS Touring are complemented by intelligent lightweight construction, which contributes significantly to the model's outstanding dynamics. Weight reduction has been achieved through the extensive use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). The engine cover, front splitter, front air intakes, exterior mirror housings and rear diffuser are made from this high-tech material. In the interior, the M Carbon seats, gearshift paddles, interior trim strips and centre console are also made from carbon and further reduce weight. Thanks to these measures, the BMW M3 CS Touring is approximately 15 kg lighter than the BMW M3 Competition Touring with M xDrive. For increased body rigidity, an M precision beam for the engine compartment is available as an optional extra, which was also designed with a focus on lightweight construction.

The interior of the BMW M3 CS Touring combines a sporty cockpit focused on top dynamics with digital technology and exclusive design elements. The driver and front passenger have M carbon seats with electric adjustment and heating. The seats have integrated head restraints, illuminated CS lettering and Merino leather upholstery. Their exclusive design in a red-black color combination is repeated on the rear seats, while the door panels are completely covered in black leather.
