Nikola recorded 12th fastest time in the morning session and qualified 8th in the afternoon, as he and the team focused more on longer laps and changes to the car's setup.
Learning the new Formula 3 cars that debuted in Australia at the start of the season, and how they work with tires, is the key question that all teams in Bahrain are looking for an answer to, and whoever manages to get to it first will have an advantage in the following starts.
In the morning session, Nikola recorded 33 laps and a time of 1.49.347 minutes in his fastest lap, 0.644 seconds behind first-place Louis Sharp. In the afternoon, Tsolov and most of the drivers simulated a race, with the Bulgarian Lion achieving 1.49.414 minutes and finishing 8th.
Last night, Nikola and his team worked until 10:00 PM in the Campos Racing pits to select the most appropriate settings for the development of his car's behavior in the coming test days.
The Bahrain tests conclude today, when the drivers will once again have 5 hours available in two sessions on the track.
