Osram Night Breaker LED: better lighting without glare
With the launch of the Night Breaker H7-LED, OSRAM has for the first time provided car owners with the opportunity to legally “upgrade” their lights from halogen to LED without replacing their entire headlights. Unlike various no-name lamps from the Far East, the series from the renowned German brand will not get you into trouble with law enforcement – as long as your vehicle model is on the compatibility list baterie auto deta pret.
Until recently, the only way to count on modern LED headlights was to tick the box for them as an extra when buying a new car – of course, for an additional fee. Anyone who wanted to upgrade their headlights from halogen to LED had to do a lot of work, because they had to change not only the bulbs, but also the entire headlight system, including the automatic height adjustment system and the so-called Background electronics. In the face of Osram Night Breaker, the professionals in the field of automotive lighting have offered their customers a solution for very easy headlight tuning, which only allows the bulb to be changed. In the last few years, Osram has seriously expanded the range of compatible models – and currently offers Night Breaker LED in H1, H4, H7, H8, HB4, H10, H16, W5W… of course, not only for low beam, but also for high beam, marker lights and even fog lights. What's more, some of the lamps are suitable not only for cars, but also for campers, motorcycles and trucks. Moreover, the innovative design of the lamps in most cases allows even a layman to handle their installation.
Before purchasing any variant of Osram Night Breaker, you should check whether your vehicle model is on the compatibility list (i.e. whether it has the necessary operating permit). Osram is gradually receiving more and more approvals for individual models and is accordingly expanding the compatibility list. This is important because if you perform illegal tuning of your headlights, your vehicle may be stopped from driving. And this applies not only to the strict police in Western Europe, but also to those in our country, who have started organizing special actions with tents by the road in which they check the lights. Many Bulgarians have already “burned out” after the inspections found that their headlights did not work according to the permissible standards.
It is recommended that after purchasing and installing Osram Night Breaker lamps compatible with your vehicle model, you download the necessary declaration of conformity, print it out and carry it in your glove compartment - because this declaration can serve as your protection in the event of a possible inspection by the "Traffic Police".
Since the complex electronics, including fan and heat sink, are integrated into the base of the innovative LED lamps instead of the usual contact elements, the installation space is really limited. And while in models such as the Opel Astra, VW Polo and VW Passat the installation of the new lamps is very easy, in the BMW 2 Series Active and Gran Tourer it is much more challenging. The Osram Night Breaker H7 LED lamps fit perfectly into the reflector geometry in all approved models and therefore provide perfect glare-free lighting. Another significant advantage is the lamp life that is several times longer than that of halogen lamps.
