Schumacher's legendary Ferrari up for sale at Monaco Grand Prix
A red goddess is going to auction! As part of one of the most iconic races on the Formula 1 calendar – that of Monaco, Michael Schumacher's legendary Ferrari F2001 will be auctioned. It is at the same venue where the record holder won in 2001 evacuare bosal pret.

The red jewel in Formula 1's crown is returning to where it made history in 2001: Michael Schumacher's championship-winning Ferrari F2001 will be sold during the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix!
On May 24, shortly before the qualifying for the iconic race in the Principality, the auction house Sotheby's will auction the legendary Ferrari F2001 with chassis number 211. The car is iconic because it is the car with which the German won the street race for the last time.
Victory in Monaco, championship title – and now at auction
With this car, Schumacher won on the tight Monte Carlo circuit on May 27, 2001 – laying the foundation for his fourth title. A few weeks later in Hungary, Michael secured it with a points haul – and Ferrari became number one in the constructors' championship.
It is this red goddess who is now returning to the site of her greatest triumph. In the paddock, spectators will be able to admire the machine up close – before the hammer falls and the rich start bidding millions for it.
First sale during the Grand Prix
This will be the first such sale in the premier class: never before has a Formula 1 world champion's car been auctioned during a race weekend. Bidding will begin on Saturday at 3:15 p.m., just before qualifying - where Schumacher once outpaced all his rivals. In total, he managed to record five victories on the legendary technical track.
Probably Schumacher's most valuable Ferrari
But what's so special about this car? It's the only Ferrari Schumacher drove, with which he won in Monaco and became world champion in the same year. It's this dual cult status that makes the car a magnet for collectors.
“Even just one win in Monaco makes a car special – but this Ferrari winning two championships,” said RM Sotheby’s sales director Augustin Sabatty-Garat. “That sends it into a completely different league.” Part of the proceeds from the auction will go to the Keep Fighting Foundation, founded by Schumacher’s family.
